As a Waldorf educator of 30 years, a mother of two grown children and a Mindful Grieving Facilitator, my life is guided by the values and practice of connection and deep listening.

Through my teaching career, I developed profound, meaningful relationships with my students and their families. I am passionate about supporting young people in realizing their strength and feeling empowered through life’s challenges.  My life experience, perspective and practical skills help educate and guide parents to better support their children and teens at school and home.

My calling to grief work began when I received my own crash-course in loss. Within a single year, my mother, my sister and I were all diagnosed with cancer. I was presented with the challenge of taking care of two young children, showing up for my students, managing my own cancer treatment and being present for my sister and mother.

In time, my mother and sister both died from cancer.  My father died not long after. With little time to recover between losses, I developed an intimacy with grief as a daily part of my life.

It was at this point that I found the Grief Support Network, and recognized the value of grieving in community. I learned to open my heart more fully and discovered the power of self-care and presence to support myself.

Over time, as my losses became more integrated, I felt the calling to share this valuable gift with others. As a Mindful Grieving Facilitator, I will honor and accept you wherever you are in your grief journey, and offer a place of refuge to feel and express your truth.

My style is warm, engaging and deeply empathic. I am known for my open heart, compassion, loving presence and insight.  My willingness to sit in discomfort with you allows for the natural emergence of your own wisdom, transformation and healing.
